Dr. Melissa DeGroot (Grandinetti) grew up in Lincolnwood, IL attending St. Mary of the Woods and Niles West High School. She graduated from Loyola University with a bachelor’s in Biology. Dr. DeGroot received a Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. DeGroot then started her own practice where she could concentrate on taking the time to be with her patients and understand all of their eye care needs. She works with her patients to determine the best glasses and contacts for them from easing computer strain to seeing the green street signs in Park Ridge! Her patients are treated like family and she has seen many of them for almost 20 years.
In January 2023 she welcomed her husband Dr. Matthew DeGroot to her practice. They have teamed up providing complementary vision care.
Dr. Melissa DeGroot loves spending time with her husband and children. She enjoys many activities with them including hiking, biking, tennis, and soccer.
